Tonight I'm back at the Waterfront this time from the US we have Hayseed Dixie, rock band who have created their own genre - Rockgrass.  They have created reimagining of rock classics and their own work, it's going to be fun evening filled with drinking, rock & metal covers, and satirical covers.

Supporting tonight is Sweet Electric, a modern rock n roll band from Germany.  They promise to be high energy with their combination of hard rock and sleaze rock.

And wow Sweet Electric come in with an incredible eclectic mix of outfits with the vocalist standing out in gold leggings, golden holographic tracksuit top and light up trainers.
The first track is heavy  and fast paced with much head banging.
Into the second track with a Cowbell getting the crowd hyped.
Green day vibes bring forward with much stage stomping.
And of course a song about drinking is a real crowd pleaser.
A cover of Rage Against the Machine's 'Killing in the Name Of' gets the room head banging and chanting 'Fuck You I Won't Do What You Tell Me!".
And they this high energy continued for a cover of LMFAO's "Party Rock Anthem".
Their track "Hard Times" has everyone singing along.
This was a great lively and entertaining start to our Wednesday night.

Our headliners come on with country styled instruments and drinks to boot (though the fizzy wine for the vocalist surprised us).  They are heavy metal in banjo form.
Straight into a cover of "Dirty Deeds" by AC/DC instantly got our attention.
There was much appreciation for the rendition of Guns n Roses' "Welcome to The Jungle".
Impressive guitar playing with a bottle of Jura (one of my person favourite whiskys, so good choice - Beckykat).
We are told now to create a song with four ingredients: Drinking, cheating killing and hell.  Make of that what you will.
Great crowd participation
Black Sabbath's "Paranoid" had the audience electrified.

The crowd were then bouncing and cheering to Motorhead's "Ace of Shades".
They paid homage to our great Dolly Parton, may she rest in peace <3
We have another AC/DC - "You Shook Me All Night Long", this is welcome with much cheer.
Then something we've never seen before a cucumber anus breakdown on a mandolin impressively fast.
Back to more singing and dancing as we are treated to a cover of "War Pigs" by Black Sabbath
Finishing with AC/DC's Highway to Hell with a bit of Lynyrd Skynyrd "Free Bird" interlude, and we are treated to a great medley at the end.  Lots of devils horns and cheering from crowd.

Excellent engagement with the crowd throughout, with much jumping, singing and excitement.  Everyone had a fun-filled and lively evening with much drinking, dancing but hopefully no cheating!
