Preview and Review of Press Start, Second Album by Samurai Pizza Cats.

Today I previewed and reviewed, the upcoming new album by Samurai Pizza Cats. A most unique metalcore/deathcore band from Germany. Their second album, 'Press Start', will be released on 27th March - PRE-ORDER HERE
The new album welcomes new drummer, Robin Scheer, and wow what a force, the speed makes me feel exhausted.
This quirkily band is definitely not your average metal band and a real fun album to listen to.
To begin, 'Insert Coin' is a fun intro with retro value which asks us to 'Press Start' then dives straight into 'Pandastruck' - Fast heaviness, a pop like catchy chorus, immediately gets you wanting to dance in a pit.
'T-Rex(plosion)' has the collaboration of Ankor adding the beautiful female vocals along with the brutal speed of Robin's drums and Daniel and Stefan's riffs and screaming of Sebastian. What an explosion in your ear drums.
What even is Pizza I ask, as Japanese vibes run through the next chorus as it reminds me of something I'd hear in an anime, but whatever Pizza is, don't you 'Fear no Slice'. This track is here to remind you not to take metal so seriously.
'Error 808', dramatic in the run up to the happy sounding chorus which gives me magical sparkle vibes you could sing along to
Moving on we are welcomed to 'Level Up' by the happiest little voice.
Then straight into 'Ramen Man' which brings in more of the Japanese anime style joy amongst the screams, this time guesting 'Babybeard'. This truely is a unique track, equally heavy and cute.
We then have 'Penguin Supreme', crammed full of wonderful penguin charm with the catchiest chorus about penguins you will ever sing, yet with heaviest riffs to balance out the adorableness.
Get ready to move a beat to 'Super Zero' the dynamic combination of clean vocals with screams and dark riffs and speedy beats, really packing a punch.
Classic track to sing along to 'City of Gold', gives energy of the epic expanse of vast cityscapes and possibilities with the mistakes that may come along with it.
'Thanks for Playing' is the bored child wanting to play something else, however they don't get their wish as we have one more track, 'Pizza Homicide - STVW Version', a great speedy, dance version of this track, with some of the speediest beats and screams between the chorus relating to the murder of Pizza, a great tragedy to end on.
