Review - Nova Twins, Venus Grrrrls and Precious Pepala at Epic Studios

Tonight I'm trying something new for me, not my usual heavy metal theme. Tonight we're here to see Nova Twins.

Beginning the evening we have Precious Pepala. British singer songwriter from Sheffield, who combines dark pop, soul and rock. She explores religious themes, along with acceptance, relationships and lgbtqi+.

These are powerful lyrics, she is really owning the stage, helped by her strong vocals, beautiful, graceful movements and delivery in a fun way.

Venus Grrrls alternative rock, goth-grunge from Leeds, True Riot Grrrls energy. They put on an amazing show. Gothic alternative vibes really pushing the evening forward and getting the crowd to engage with the music. The band really controls the whole stage and the audience loves it.

Our headliners for the night are the fabulous Nova Twins, the duo from London, who've been close friends since childhood, come on stage to our excitement.

My highlights were: 'Cleopatra' (one of my personal favourites of the night) really gets the crowd into gear.

'Choose Your Fighter' gets a real heavy beat going and they encourage the start of a pit which really opens up as energy fills the room.

'Black Roses' gets everyone singing along and you can see the crowd is loving it.

What an incredible night, the energy of this duo is incredible, and the skills! Soooo many pedals, multiple guitar changes and to keep playing with all that movement.

All the bands tonight were fantastic, such a moving, emotional night.

Personally I cannot wait until Nova Twins are back in Norwich and would love the opportunity to see Venus Grrrls and Precious Pepala again too.
