Review - Lacuna Coil with Nonpoint support at Epic Studios, Norwich.

Tonight was very special for me, I've loved Lacuna Coil since a teenager.  Comalies got me through every uni exam.  

The atmosphere was electric as we arrived and then we got treated to the first band, Nonpoint.  Coming from Florida this heavy metal band has Puerto Rican roots with vocalist, Elias Soriano and drummer, Robb Rivera originating from there.  

Starting strong with 'Breaking Skin', this band has incredible energy and watching the members' hair fly is like art.  Drummer, Robb, sits to the side of the stage and looking over his band members and clearly is enjoying performing and the performance.

Their cover of in the air tonight is impressive, the crowd really enjoys joining in.  

Wonderful hearing songs in Spanish too, including Rabia.

Overall a really strong, enjoyable performance which got us all extra hyped and ready for Lacuna Coil.

Lacuna Coil came on stage one by one to the delight of the screaming crowd.  Starting their set with 'Layers of Time' before going into 'Reckless' which really gets everyone moving.  Cristina and Andrea sing together with perfect harmony.  The guitarists, Marco and Richard move about the stage with the whole band synchronised as a beautiful unit.

They played an amazing mix of songs, some from the new album, Sleepless Empire, and some old classics, like Heaven's a Lie, making my teenage heart sooo happy.

Cristina gave a beautiful talk on coping in this troubled world and we all chanted 'We Fear Nothing' and was incredible then singing 'Nothing Stands in our Way'.

In the encore there was 'Wish you were Dead' were Cristina bought out a beautiful sparkly knife.  Ending the night with the amazing Never Dawn.

I will be riding this high for some time, so great to see Lacuna Coil again in Norwich, been too long.  To be able to photograph this incredible band meant so much.  Such a wonderful night.
