British Post Punk band Don Broco came to the UEA on 10th October, well it their second UK tour of the year - a band that never slows down it seems.
The band are known for the energy and it was in evidence at this show, with "True Believers" the opener, fused seamlessly into Nightmare Tripping.
The band are no strangers to Norwich, Having taken part in an a battle of the bands some years ago, before they had settled on their direction and name. Their Drummer a former UEA Alumni also!
There was support from Ando San - a really good blend of Funk and Rock, this was a captivating set and an enjoyable opening 30 minutes.
Unpeople were next up, with their indie sound and male/female vocal harmonies (something I'm always a fan of!) - i hadn't heard of them prior to the event and discovering a new act is always exciting, I hope we can feature the again soon on here as they have good stage presence and were a great second opener, although i wouldn't be too surprised if we don't see a headline tour from them in the near future.
The full setlist for Don Broco is below - Standout track of course True Believers - Bruce Willis is a set highlight however and didn't disappoint - The band have been doing what they do for almost 2 decades now - and it really wouldn't surprise me to see them get that big festival headliner slot they have been working towards soon.
Editors note: The setlist is dated 2024, this is incorrect! we use an API feed from setlist which seems to have gone whack with the date, the songs however are correct - show date is 10th October 2026!
