Electric Six - The Waterfront Norwich - 05 July 2025

Anticipation was high for this sold-out show at the Waterfront, even as a late arrival from Electric Six left things hanging at the start. With the band stuck in traffic, the venue handled the situation calmly and professionally, keeping the crowd at ease.

Support came from Enjoyable Listens, whose performance was as theatrical as it was entertaining. The sharply dressed, hyper-expressive frontman was a clear focal point, offset by a bassist playing it completely straight. Their upbeat set was punctuated by playful onstage banter, including a mock complaint about lacklustre applause—met, unsurprisingly, with laughter and enthusiasm from the crowd.

Electric Six finally arrived and launched into their set with a quick, minimalist soundcheck. No warm-up needed. Their set was tight, powerful, and polished—proof of years spent on the road. The connection between band and audience was instant, with smiles on stage and energy bouncing back and forth throughout the room.

The setlist blended fan favourites and greatest hits (High Voltage and Gay Bar) with newer material from their latest and 20th studio album, Turquoise, striking a perfect balance. By the end of the night, the packed venue was buzzing, the crowd fully satisfied with an escape from the everyday.
