Review - Nightstalker, Pilot the Dune & Jehenna at Waterfront Norwich - 27th May 2026

So tonight we're in for a treat Phage Records has organised, all the way from Greece, for Nightstalker to come and play at Norwich Waterfront.  And no they are not named after the bad toothed serial killer I learnt as I met up with Argy, the vocalist, earlier this afternoon for an interview.  Will add a link once published.  We are in for a treat, these legends of the rock scene have been touring since 1989 and this is their debut Norwich show.

Opening the night are Jehenna, alternative metal from Norfolk.  A haunting beginning leading into captivating riffs with wonderful synth.  The dual yet varied female vocals really add depth to the incredible performance tonight.

 

'The Silence' has particularly catchy groovy riffs.

 

We are treated to a special song for Mums, a wonderfully catchy number 'The Runaway'. 

Ending strong on the  'The Shadow' with epic vocals, fast beats and headbanging riffs.

Second on are home grown Pilot the Dune, stoner rock from Norwich.  They delight us with fantastic groovy stoner melodies opening with 'Burn the Book'.  The vocalist headbangs with his incredible long dreads with the crowd really moving to the cool riffs and steady beat.  We are treated to new song 'Master of Lambs'.

They may be stoner rock but they are high energy and keep moving throughout their set.

'El Machina' is a powerful number to end this great set on.

Our great headliners take the stage, Nightstalker, the crowd instantly moves to the front as soon as they hit the stage.

Riffs wash over us with beats that keep you moving.

Argy uses macarenas during 'Forever Stoned' for this fun track.

'Sweet Knife' is a doomier track which gets the crowd headbanging and stomping.

It's a really epic set with everyone really moving and grooving, with increasing headbanging and movement into a pit.

They end with an encore of 'Children of the Sun' with the crowd still shouting for more.

Wow, what a Wednesday night, high energy throughout, great local supports and the titans that are Nightstalker.  A night not soon forgotten.
