Album Review - Frozen Soul - No Place of Warmth - release date 8th May

So today I have the pleasure of reviewing the upcoming new album from Frozen Soul - No Place of Warmth. This death metal band hail from Texas, with this being their 3'rd studio album and it's a strong one.
The opening title track, 'No Place of Warmth', has an epic build up which leads into full on metal guitars riffs and haunting metal vocals. It also features Gerard Way with unique vocal interlude.
The second track, 'Invoke War', features Machine Head and is straight into guttural vocals, heavy riffs and beats, truly one to headbang to.
'Absolute Zero' has heavy guitars and speed drumming to start, great riffs hold verses together. Quick but powerful.
Strong guttural vocals and a slow and doomy energy, 'Dreadnought' is a fantastic track on this album (feat. Sanguisugabogg).
'Chaos will Reign' has a doomy heavy start, hitting strong with guttural vocals. Speedy beats work well with the riffs and vocals.
This track, 'Eyes of Despair' surprises us with speedy chords, heavy and less doomy, very quick in places, great riffs to headbang to with quick beats.
There's a slow almost tribal like sound to beginning of 'Ethereal Dreams' before strong riffs. Quick beats and chugging guitars.
'Skinned by the Wind' starts with an unusual speaking intro, then into a wonderfully doomy heavy track.
'Deathweaver' is a great chuggy track with standout riffs.
There's an epic heavy build up to 'Frost Forged', then into grungy riffs, vocals and beats to headbang to.
For the final track, 'Killin Time' it's fast catchy riffs, speed beats and strong vocals, and varies up with slow doomyness, great all rounder to end on. Also has memorial lyrics 'Killin Time (Until its Time to Kill)'.
Excellent solid album, momentum throughout to keep you wanting more. Hoping to catch these guys live, I bet they put on a great show.
